Talk: "Promoting AAUP's Principles in Hard Times"
by Donna Potts, National Council Member

Topic: "As collective bargaining is increasingly under siege in states such as Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, and elsewhere, and as legislatures in "right to work" states also present their own threats to higher education as we have known it, faculty members must work harder to protect the principles upon which AAUP was founded. After examining the nationwide crisis in higher education, I will present some ways to increase AAUP membership, strengthen advocacy chapters, and get AAUP's message across to the public."
